Launch Time: Sunday, February 10 @ 9p

Have you ever wondered what a group of highly talented and motivated people could accomplish in a weekend? Could they start a company from concept to completion?
A unique three-day experience, Startup Weekend brings the best and brightest people together in a local office space to select the concept, break into teams, and develop the product, marketing and revenue model.
Occurring in cities across the world, Startup Weekend is the new way to allow your local entrepreneurial community to come together and incubate a company from concept to completion in just 54 hours.
Bloomington, Indiana serves as host to Startup Weekend for the first time on February 8-10, 2008. The collaboration will take place at City Hall at Showers on Morton Street. The cost to attend is $20, which will include some food, swag and internet connection. You should plan to provide your own computer equipment, lodging and transportation (although sponsors may help out a bit). Parking near City Hall will be free for the weekend, and three local bus lines stop near the facility. Please register online while tickets are still available.

The Boulder Startup Weekend Blog and Boston Startup Weekend Blog are great resources to see what a weekend looks like in action. Atlanta and nearby West Lafayette would also be informative. A founder from the original weekend in Boulder (July 6-8, 2007) has a great post called ‘How to show up.’
If you still need some help seeing what the weekend is like, please check out the Startup Weekend Blog.
